Since releasing her first album in 1991, recorded at the incredible age of 13, Shakira has sold over 80 million records, making her the best-selling female Latin artist of all time. She has been awarded a remarkable 3 Grammy Awards, 12 Latin Grammy Awards, 4 MTV Video Music Awards, 7 Billboard Music Awards, 39 Billboard Latin Music Awards and 6 Guinness World Records. With over 32 million listeners, Shakira is the most-streamed female Latin artist on Spotify and her songs have been streamed billions of times. She is also one of only three female artists to have two videos exceeding two billion views on YouTube.

Shakira released her first English language album Laundry Service in 2001, which have sold over 13 million copies worldwide, was the seventh best-selling album of 2002 and one of the best-selling albums of the 21^st century. Six singles were released from the album, including the hits Whenever, Wherever, Underneath Your Clothes and Que Me Quedes Tú. Whenever, Wherever was an international success reaching Number 1 in 27 countries and peaking at Number 2 in the UK. Underneath Your Clothes was a Top 10 in both the US and UK, and the Spanish-speaking Que Me Quedes Tú topped both Billboard’s Latin Pop Songs and Hot Latin Songs charts.

A product of Atlanta, but who grew up in Europe due to his father’s military life, Garrett was signed as an artist at just 17 years old. Moving in the circles of Ludacris, Chris Brown and Nicki Minaj, Garrett gradually emerged from being an artist and singer into a songwriter and record producer. At the turn of the millennium he then managed to create an amazing and record breaking run of songs, creating 18 Number 1 singles, ensuring that he is mentioned alongside the greatest producers at delivering that many hits in such a short space of time. His work has continued apace, teaming up with Swizz Beatz to produce excellent work including smash songs for Beyoncé. Garrett has received 4 Grammy nominations for his work on Beyoncé’s I Am…Sasha Fierce Album and also with Usher for the Yeah! single (which was the 2nd best selling single on the Billboard Hot 100 songs for 2000-2009) and also for Usher’s Confessions album.

Harris’s contribution to Hipgnosis Songs is split between this solo deal and also his Rebel One deal.

Harris’s closest relationship has been with the Island recording artist Shawn Mendes. The combination of this artist with these Harris songs has launched an act to near stadium levels of success. He is a huge live phenomenon alongside both spectacular singles and album sales success. Harris contributed to 10 out of the 12 tracks on Shawn’s debut album Handwritten in 2015. Similarly, he handled 10 out of the 12 tracks on the follow up album Illuminate in 2016, and 13 out of the 14 on the third self-titled album. The song There’s Nothing Holding Me Back became a Top Ten hit on either side of the Atlantic and now has achieved well in excess of a billion streams.

Harris has also contributed to the success of Dermot Kennedy, one of the true global breakthrough successes of the last two years, due to the powerful hits Power Over Me and Outnumbered.

Cutler was born in Chicago but formed his band ‘Ednaswap’ with Anne Previn in 1993 in Los Angeles in which he played guitar. Their debut album in 1995 featured a song called Tom. It was then covered as the debut single by the Australian pop artist Natalie Imbruglia. This version hit Number 3 in the US, Number 1 in Canada and also hit the top spot in several other European territories. Further success for Cutler has been achieved via the Brenda Russell song Piano In The Dark, which was nominated for Song Of The Year at the 1989 Grammy Awards, and also for Beyoncé’s Listen, from the Dreamgirls’ soundtrack, which was nominated for Best Original Song at the 2007 Academy Awards.

Savan is an Oscar, Golden Globe and multi Grammy nominated songwriter, born and raised in Texas of Indian descent. He has provided a high tide mark for mainstream pop success in recent years. His successes stretch from Camilla Cabello’s My Oh My to Ellie Goulding’s Close To Me to Normani’s Motivation and Sam Smith and The Weeknd. He also wrote the Number 1 UK single What Makes You Beautiful for One Direction.

However, it is Arianne Grande who has really enjoyed delivering Savan’s work to the public, achieving huge global success with songs such as No Tears Left To Cry, Break Up With Your Girlfriend and God Is A Woman.

Arianna’s album thank u, next was nominated for Album Of The Year at the Grammy Awards in 2019. Savan was also nominated at the Oscars for his song, the poignant ballad Husavik in 2021.

He has received two Grammy nominations, one for the Ellie Goulding’s 50 Shades theme tune and one for his work across Arianna Grande’s Album thank u, next.
