Third Day are a Southern Christian rock band from Atlanta, led by their lead singer and guitarist Mac Powell and another guitarist Mark Lee. The band played classic dramatic rock music, a sound that was able to appeal and cross over to people who didn’t usually listen to Christian Rock.
The band sold over 7 million albums in the US and achieved 28 Number One Christian album chart radio hits. Their second album Conspiracy No.5, their third album Time and their fourth album Offerings were all Grammy nominated releases in the Best Rock Gospel album category. Their next album Come Together actually won the Grammy for the Best Rock Gospel Album as did their 2004 release Wire.
In the spirit of bands like U2, the band played rousing and spiritual material. Stand out songs for the band include Soul On Fire, Your Words, Cry Out To Jesus and I Need A Miracle.

This group is a duo made of Andrew ‘Drew’ Taggart and Alexander ‘Alex’ Pall, who joined forces in New York City and began their career delivering remixes for indie bands. Their world exploded when their December 2013 track Selfie was unleashed on the world, a zeitgeist moment was caught, bundled up in the EDM sound of the time and accompanied by a super humorous star packed video which took this group into all corners of the globe. This was no fluke however, and across the next few years the band continued to deliver a host of high grade electronic pop songs, some of which included an incredible selection of artists, from Coldplay, to Bebe Rexha, to Jhene Aiko to 5SOS and Florida Georgia Line as well as their key writing partner Emily Warren. Closer, featuring Halsey stayed at Number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for 12 weeks in 2016, staying in the Top ten for over 32 weeks and was also a Number 1 single in the UK, and at least four tracks by the Chainsmokers are now close to or exceeding 1.5 billion streams.
The B-52’s were formed in Athens, Georgia in 1976. They emerged from the underground, rooted in surf music, kitsch fashion and a kaleidoscope of pop culture. They totally stood out in a new wave post punk landscape with their big hooks, dance friendly rock songs and their offbeat sensibilities. Four out of the five band members were on the LGBTQ spectrum.
They delivered a succession of wonderful pop singles, garnering them big support from the likes of John Lennon and David Byrne, and were serious live favourites at CBGBs and Maxs Kansas City on the downtown NYC live music scene.
Their Chris Blackwell produced self-titled album in 1979 featured the hits Rock Lobster and Dance This Mess Around and they delivered successive pop nuggets throughout the 80’s, peaking again with Cosmic Thing album in 1989.
