A key driver for Beyoncé’s second album B’Day, marking her 25^th birthday, was the song Irreplaceable written by the Norwegian songwriting and music production team Espionage, consisting of Espen Lind & Amund Bjørklund. The song was a Number One single on the Billboard Hot 100 for 9 weeks and was the best-selling song in the US for 2007, and helped drive a Grammy nomination for Best contemporary RnB album.

This song writer duo also helped change the fortunes of San Francisco band Train.  In 2009, they released the Espionage song Hey Soul Sister from the band’s fifth album. It became the band’s highest selling single, and was also the best-selling song on the iTunes store in 2010 and the second best-selling single in the US in 2010. Another song Drive By was released as the lead track of the bands 6^th album in 2012 and became a sizeable global hit, charting Top ten in over 13 countries.

The writers then showed their hit making skills in the RnB lane more particularly, writing the hit With You for Chris Brown, hitting Number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, as well as big songs for Ne-Yo, Jennifer Hudson and Jordin Sparks. Further development work was undertaken on the American Idol winner David Cook’s debut album and his hit song Come Back To Me, alongside more hits for Selena Gomez, the Jonas Brothers, Jessica Simpson and Mary J. Blige.

Evan ‘Kidd’ Bogart arrived in the world as the son of Casablanca Records founder Neil Bogart. Starting out as a rapper himself, before evolving through management, label work and some crazy times he then arrived in the room as a songwriter, alongside JR Rotem for a broad range of global pop stars, including Beyoncé, Jason Derulo, Hot Chelle Rae, Enrique Iglesias and Britney Spears.

He received 3 Grammy nominations for Best Female Pop Vocal, and Record Of The Year for Halo by Beyoncé and actually won the former category for Halo.

His early days on the guitar led to time spent in sessions with bands performing and writing and then on the road with artists like his long-term friend Craig David has given T. Smith a view of music creation and artist life that few others possess. To this end he has managed to become an artist friend, advisor, confidante and fellow creator to an even greater extent than many other songwriters and producers. Understanding virtually all genres of music, from his early work in the dance arena with the Rui Da Silva UK Number 1 single Touch Me, through the early stages of UK grime with Tinchy Stryder and his UK Number 1 single aptly titled Number 1 and with some Ivor Novello winning work for James Morrison. He has been a fully instrumental character alongside progressive UK artists like Kano, Stormzy and Dave. T. Smith worked with Kano on his Mercury nominated Made In The Manor album, Stormzy on his landmark debut and Brit Award winning album Gang Signs & Prayers and also with Dave on his Mercury Prize winning and Brit Award winning album Psychodrama as well as performing alongside this artist on his legendary Brits performance of Black. On top of this, T. Smith wrote and produced Adele’s Set Fire To The Rain and received a Grammy nomination for his contributions to Sam Smith’s In the Lonely Hour album.
