Reuss grew up in Arizona and knew quickly that music was where his heart really lay. School punk bands were quickly followed by his first serious band called The Format in the early part of the millennium, before switching to the band fun. alongside Jack Antonoff and Andrew Dost. In the midst of MySpace goings on, the band developed well, releasing their first studio album in 2009. They worked on excellent collaborations like with Panic! At The Disco and then things majorly took off with their Jeff Bhasker produced We are Young (feat. Janelle Momáe). The song took on a life of its own, featuring in adverts as well as in the hit show ‘Glee’ and rocketed to Number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2012. This resulted in winning two Grammy Awards for Best New Artist and also Song Of The Year.

He’s enjoyed further sizeable success with the artist P!nk, both writing and also featuring on her Number 1 US single Just Give Me A Reason which opened the door for further features including with Eminem on his track Highlights.

Aldean earnt his stripes on the live circuit ahead of securing his deal with Broken Bow in 2004. Knox had taken the chance on Aldean after witnessing him at an Atlanta Showcase in the mid 90’s and so their partnership begin. Having established this connection, Knox produced the albums, which with each release slowly built serious momentum. Blue collar themes with romantic undertones all wrapped up in a less traditional, more rocky country sound complete with lots of loud electric guitars, and even some synthesisers. The third album Wide Open in 2009 generated 3 Number 1 singles, and the fourth album My Kinda Party went four times platinum. For his work on the album, Knox won Album Of The Year from the Country Music Association. Aldean’s ascent continued  with the 2012 Night Train album and the 2014 Old Boots, New Dirt album which was a Number One album for him on the Billboard Top 200 chart.

Knox has been nominated for 5 Grammy Awards in multiple categories for his production work with Aldean. Overall, the combination of Aldean and Knox’s production has produced a genuine country superstar for the man from Georgia and helped to sell over 20 million albums in the process.

Starting his career as Zev Love X in the golden age rap group K.M.D., Daniel Dumille remerged in the late 90’s with an elaborate iron mask and became the uber creative, Marvel comic inspired, anti-hero MF Doom and released his landmark debut album Operation: Doomsday. Dumille passed through several aliases including King Geedorah, and then alongside Madlib in the character Madvillain and into the Viktor Vaughn role. By 2004 the next MF Doom album MM…Food emerged. Never resting, Dumille then teamed up with Danger Mouse under the Danger Doom moniker.

By 2009, the rapper had shortened his name to just Doom and was working with Wu-Tang members Ghostface and Raekwon on the Born Like This album. Dumille leaves an incredibly power body of work that will forever leave a strong and intelligent mark on the hip hop landscape. Very disappointingly and unfortunately, Doom passed away on the 31st October 2020 aged just 49.
