This was the band that pretty much set the standard for heavy metal bands through the 1970’s. This was the first solo project for Deep Purple guitarist Ritchie Blackmore. The band’s albums have proved to be a crucial chapter within the genre.

The flamboyant Blackmore was assisted by the smooth operatic-esque voice of Ronnie James Dio. The bands line up was adjusted but settled for the key period with extra exceptional talent like Cozy Powell on drums.
