Mark Batson has used his exceptional skills as a classically trained pianist to deliver hit songs for some of the most potent post millennium artists. He has delivered exceptional work for artists such as Eminem, Jay Z, Alicia Keys, India Arie and Anthony Hamilton. His first Grammy nomination came for India.Arie’s album Acoustic Soul in 2001, followed by a nomination for Anthony Hamilton’s Comin’ from Where I’m From in the Best R&B Song category in 2003. He contributed to Beyoncé’s Daddy from her album Dangerously In Love, for which she won the Grammy for Best R&B album in 2004.

Further success came with his contribution to both Eminem’s Relapse album (2010) and his Recovery album (2011), which both scooped the award for Best Rap Album in respective years.

Batson continues to expand his writing and production work delivering scores for several feature films, graphic novels and music series.
