Growing up in Oklahoma on a very mixed diet of music, Boyer has become more focused on developing and writing in the time-honoured Nashville tradition.

In 2014, Boyer collaborated with Dustin Lynch on the song Hell Of A Night, which reached Number 1 on the US Billboard Country Airplay chart.

In 2016, Dierks Bentley released Boyer’s Somewhere On A Beach, which reached Number 1 on the US Billboard Country Airplay chart and Bentley’s first Number 1 hit on the Hot Country songs chart, becoming a platinum selling song. Further success for the pairing came with the Cole Swindell track Flatliner, feat. Dierks Bentley.

Boyer has worked particularly closely with Jason Aldean. They Don’t Know was taken from Aldean’s Number 1 album of the same name in 2016. Girl Like You was the third single from Aldean’s 2018 album Rearview and became a Number 1 US country airplay hit. Boyer then had 5 songs on Jason Aldean’s 2019 album 9.
