Bhasker cut his teeth playing keys in a number of different musical outfits before ultimately focusing on writing and producing at the turn of the millennium. Relocating to LA in 2005 he developed his craft even more working alongside writers like Diane Warren, Bruno Mars and Steve Lindsey. His next move was as music director for both Kanye West and Lady Gaga on her Monster Ball Tour. Working closer with Kanye he was soon taken into Ye’s inner circle and collaborated on the 808s & Heartbreak, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fancy and the Watch The Throne albums with Jay-Z. The success of these projects resulted in a Grammy Award for Best Rap Song for All Of The Lights.
Further Grammy success has been achieved with his work on Run This Town by Jay-Z, We Are Young By fun. from their album Some Nights, on which Bhasker was lead producer and co-writer, as well as the global smash Uptown Fun (feat. Bruno Mars) by Mark Ronson. Uptown Funk was a transatlantic Number 1 single as well as topping the chart in 17 other countries. The song remained at Number 1 in the US for 14 weeks and in the UK for 7 weeks. The track won British Single Of The Year at the 2015 Brit Awards and also won Record Of The Year and Best Pop Performance at the Grammy Awards in 2016.
Bhasker also received the 2016 Grammy Award for Producer Of the Year, Non Classical for producing the Mark Ronson album Uptown Special and the Nate Reuss album Grand Romantic.
